PLAYING WITH COLOR VALUE

In this class, you will learn:
1.- About color theory: the chromatic circle, what value is, what saturation is.
2.- How to use color value to design a quilt, through examples, exercises, and my own methodology.
3.- You will design your own quilt from the beginning — design your block, color your design, and plan the construction.
4.- My process for planning the construction of your quilt.
5.- This class includes a handout to help you design and plan the construction of your quilt.
6.- You will receive access to a Facebook group where you can share your progress, ask questions and share your creation.
THE POWER OF COLOR COMPOSITION
ON DEMAND CLASS — watch at your own pace and time and as many times as you want.
Duration: 70 minutes. Includes subtitles in 8 languages: Spanish, Português, Dutch, French, German, Swedish, Italian, Russian.
In this class, you will learn:
1.- How hue, value, and saturation work together to create balance, contrast, movement, and depth in your quilts.
2.- How to look at examples from art, and from Carolina’s own quilts and quilts by other artists, to understand thoughtful color composition.
3.- How to work with color intentionally, with practical ideas you can apply directly to your quilting.
4.- You will receive access to a Facebook group where you can share your progress, ask questions and share your creation.
Necessary materials:
Paper, colored pencils, sewing machine that makes a straight stitch, a quarter-inch foot, fabrics, thread, rotary cutter, ruler and iron.
Beginners to advanced quilters.
